Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the bamboo pacifier is very smooth and soft.
Each pacifier is heat-treated and then hand polished, this makes the pacifiers super smooth.
After the pacifiers are produced we inspect every single one to make sure they are of the highest quality.
After boiling the pacifier, it might feel a bit rough. However, as soon as it is completely dry it will be smooth again.
Well, let us turn the question around.
Why plastic? Why use a synthetic material based on crude oil and natural gas? Why Contribute to climate change, environmental damage and plastics filling up our oceans & nature?
Plastic was a great idea until we started to understand the problems it brings with its great qualities. We are still realizing what kind of problems we have created with plastics. At the beginning of 2021, scientists even found microplastics in the glaciers in Iceland!
By choosing other materials that are better for the environment, you contribute to minimizing this growing problem. And with each tiny step, a giant leap to a healthier future gets closer and closer.
There are three main reasons why bamboo is a great material.
1. Bamboo is actually not some kind of tree. Instead it is a fast growing grass with qualities similar to trees. In just three to four months bamboo will grow to full size, while a standard tree would take 30 years or more. Once bamboo gets cut down, it don't need to get replanted. The roots will grow back the bamboo just like any kind of grass. On top of that, bamboo have very strong roots, stabilizing the soil, and prevent landslide in some areas.
2. There is a substance in the bamboo fibers called "bamboo kun", making the bamboo naturally anti-bacterial. This prevents bacteria and microbes from growing on bamboo products. Which makes the material perfect for naturally hygienic products, such as bamboo straws, cutlery or pacifiers. Keeps everything sterile and fresh. This is very important, because this means you don't need chemicals or other harmful means to grow the plant.
3. Bamboo is good for the air as well. It can absorbs twice as much carbon dioxide as trees. Not only that, but bamboo generates a vast amount of oxygen. Up to 30% more than most plants and trees.
Talk about a super plant!

The pacifier is developed to comply with international safety standards and follows the minimal size regulations. It is impossible for babies to swallow them.

YES!
Orthodontic pacifiers are designed to prevent tooth misalignment and orthodontic issues later in life.
An orthodontic pacifier has a nipple that is flat on the bottom and rounded at the top. They are specifically designed to support the shape of a baby’s developing palate and jaw.
During sucking, they flatten in the baby’s mouth just like mother’s nipple to provide the most natural sucking action and reduce pressure on the gums and developing teeth.

And now we're not even talking about health and all the microplastics people get inside their bodies.

Sometimes water may enter the inside of the nipple, this is because of a ventilation systems that exists in the nipple and helps make the pacifier orthodontic.
Sometimes water may enter the inside of the nipple, this is because of a ventilation systems that exists in the nipple and helps make the pacifier orthodontic. When the baby closes down on the nipple, the air from inside the nipple is pushed out through the ventilation system. This flattens the nipple and makes it possible for the nipple to adapt to the baby's individual oral cavity. So, the ventilation hole is needed in order to allow for proper development of your baby's jaw and mouth.
According to the European Safety Standard, a pacifier should be replaced every one to two months for safety and hygienic purposes.
We recommend that you get a new pacifier every 4-6 weeks. Check the pacifier before every use - especially when baby is teething - and throw it away at the first sign of damage or weakness.
It's always better to be safe than sorry! Keep an eye out for any changes in the surface, changes in size and shape, or rupture in the material and replace the pacifier if you notice any differences.
Natural rubber (latex) is a soft, resilient, and natural material. It is eco-friendly and much more flexible than silicone. However, after prolonged use, the material can change. For this reason always replace your babies pacifiers every 4-6 weeks.
If natural rubber is stored in a hot area of your home, or is in contact with sunlight for an extended period of time, its shape can change and is then stripped from its orthodontic qualities.
Furthermore, because it is a natural material, the latex can become sticky and begin to look unhygienic. There is no clear scientific evidence for a connection between latex teats and latex allergy.
If you are a parent who wishes to avoid using latex, you can simply do so by using a pacifier with a silicone teat. Unfortunately we do not (and never will) sell pacifiers with silicone teats because of their environmental impact.
